Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air said it will launch direct flights between Montenegro’s capital Podgorica and Lithuania’s capital Vilnius in June next year.
Starting June 7, 2026, Wizz Air will operate the flights two times per week, on Sundays and Thursdays, the flight schedule on its website showed.
According to regional news wire Ex-Yu Aviation News, this will be the first time that Podgorica and Vilnius will be connected with a scheduled air service.
Last month, Montenegro’s transport ministry said it had held talks with Wizz Air on expanding its presence in the Adriatic country by adding flights to new destinations in key European markets. Wizz Air now runs flights to eight European cities from Podgorica, according to its website.
