JetBlue, proudly known as New York’s Hometown Airline® (NASDAQ: JBLU), teamed up with the New York Jets to reveal a striking new aircraft livery at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
Named “J! E! T! B! L! U! E!” after the team’s iconic gameday chant, this Airbus A320 showcases the Jets’ refreshed 2025 season branding.
With bold green hues, sleek white accents, and prominent team logos, the plane is designed to capture attention both on the tarmac and at 35,000 feet.
Unveiling at JFK Terminal 5
The unveiling took place at a lively gate-side event in JetBlue’s Terminal 5 at JFK, hosted by SNY’s Jeané Coakley.
Fans and attendees were thrilled to see Jets players, including tight end Jeremy Ruckert and linebacker Quincy Williams, alongside Jets legends Marty Lyons and Erik Coleman.
To mark the start of the 2025 season, passengers on the celebratory flight enjoyed exclusive perks. They had opportunities for photos and autographs with the players and received Jets-branded gift bags filled with team shirts and hats.
“This new livery is our third collaboration with JetBlue, and it’s a true celebration of our shared passion,” said Jeff Fernandez, New York Jets SVP of Business Development & Ventures.
“This plane embodies the energy and pride of our team and fans. It’s bold, fresh, and ready to soar into the 2025 season.”
The “J! E! T! B! L! U! E!” aircraft swaps JetBlue’s signature blue for the Jets’ traditional green. White stripes, inspired by the team’s jersey sleeves, adorn the fuselage, while the plane’s belly, engines, tail, and doors prominently feature Jets logos.
This eye-catching design ensures the team’s spirit is visible to travelers and aviation enthusiasts alike, whether on the ground or in the sky.
JetBlue & New Yorks Jets Partnership
JetBlue and the New York Jets have shared a strong partnership since 2009, when JetBlue became the team’s Official Airline. In 2010, JetBlue introduced its first sports-themed aircraft, “JetGreen,” dedicated to the Jets.
An updated Jets-themed plane followed in 2017. Over the past 15 years, this collaboration has grown to include joint marketing efforts, in-stadium activations, and exclusive fan promotions, strengthening the bond between the airline and the team.
“New York is our home, and no team captures its spirit like the Jets,” said Stephanie Evans Greene, JetBlue’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand.
“This livery is more than a design—it’s a tribute to our shared pride and roots. As the Jets take the field, this plane will fly high, representing our city’s passion every day.”
A Legacy of Excellence: The New York Jets
Founded in 1959 as the New York Titans, the Jets were an original member of the American Football League (AFL).
Their historic victory in Super Bowl III in 1969, defeating the NFL’s Baltimore Colts, remains a defining moment. In 1970, the Jets joined the NFL through the AFL-NFL merger, shaping the modern league.
Today, the team plays at MetLife Stadium, which opened in 2010, and is headquartered at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in Florham Park, New Jersey.
The Jets are committed to their fans through innovative programs like Jets Rewards, a state-of-the-art mobile app, and 1JD Entertainment, a content platform offering fans closer access to the team. Community engagement is also a priority.
The New York Jets Foundation supports initiatives that uplift young people in the tri-state area, particularly in underserved communities. The organization partners with the Lupus Research Alliance, supports youth football, and backs various NFL-sponsored charitable causes.
Conclusion
This new livery marks another milestone in the enduring partnership between JetBlue and the New York Jets.
As the “J! E! T! B! L! U! E!” aircraft takes flight, it carries the pride of New York and the excitement of the 2025 season to new heights.
