Wizz Air has announced a new service between Birmingham Airport and Timișoara, Romania, scheduled to begin on May 21, 2026 and operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. One-way fares start from £22.99.
This addition brings the airline’s number of Birmingham departures to seven, joining routes to Rome, Bucharest, Craiova, Budapest, Sibiu, and Suceava.
A Wizz Air spokesperson said: “Timișoara is one of Europe’s hidden gems, offering a mixture of history and culture, and we’re delighted to make it more accessible for our UK customers”.
The news comes as the airline reached milestones of a total of 1,000 routes across its network and a total of 500 million passengers carried since 2004.
