Several flights have been cancelled and delayed during spring break at the Memphis International Airport following a freeze warning and wind advisory in the Mid-South area.

According to the airport’s website, nine flights that were scheduled for takeoff on Monday morning have been cancelled.

Additionally, fifteen other flights were delayed.

This comes after the threat of strong storms, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes on Sunday evening. The primary threat was widespread damaging wind gusts of 60-80 mph, which is enough to bring down trees and cause some power outages.

The latest cold front brought windy and cold temperatures on Monday morning. WREG weather experts say highs will be in the lower-40s and mid-20s with a freeze warning tonight.
