In the 2026 Airline Ratings survey, Wizz Air was ranked the second-best ultra-low-cost carrier and also made it into the top 10 in the low-cost category.
The results, published by an independent international organization that measures airline safety, product ratings, and passenger satisfaction, clearly demonstrate the Hungarian-founded airline’s commitment to providing its passengers with increasingly high-quality, reliable service using its young fleet of aircraft, the company stated in its press release.
At Wizz Air, we have always believed that the discount model should not come at the expense of quality,”
said József Váradi, CEO of Wizz Air. “Being ranked among the world’s top 10 discount airlines is an important recognition of the product we have created: a premium experience at an affordable price, with a disciplined, reliable, and passenger-focused approach. We operate an ultra-modern fleet, invest heavily in training and new technology, and strive every day to raise the bar in the low-cost aviation sector.
This ranking highlights the hard work of Wizz Air’s crew and all employees, who bring out the best in the airline day after day. This recognition belongs to them,”
“Wizz Air is proof of how a low-cost airline can successfully combine competitive prices with a modern fleet and efficient operations,” said Sharon Petersen, CEO of Airline Ratings. “Their passenger-focused initiatives, such as the Wizz Discount Club membership program, which offers ticket discounts to club members, and the WIZZ MultiPass subscription program, which provides predictable prices for frequent travelers, all demonstrate a commitment to the passenger experience. With one of Europe’s youngest Airbus fleets and a rapidly expanding network, the airline has firmly established itself as a leading player in the sector.”
