MORIARTY, N.M. — One person is dead and another is hospitalized after a plane crashed into a power pole Tuesday near Moriarty.
The crash happened near Highway 41 and McNabb Road, just south of Moriarty – around 31 miles east of Albuquerque. Moriarty fire units found a single engine prop plane crashed in a field with power lines and poles down around the plane.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other person onboard was taken to a hospital in Albuquerque in unknown condition.
