A Boeing 777 to Antigua returned to Gatwick 8 hours after departure yesterday.

The British Airways flight BA2157 departed London Gatwick Tuesday, September 30 2025 at 10:30 BST from runway 26L for a 8-hour flight to Antigua.

The Boeing 777-200ER (registration G-VIIO) cruised at 36,000 feet during almost 4 hours when the crew decided to turn around due to a warning in the flight deck.

Due to pressure warning light on 2 tyres, the 26-year-old aircraft landed back at London Gatwick Airport at 16:22 BST, almost 8 hours after takeoff.

The airline is confirming the delay and scheduling a new departure today Wednesday 1 October at 10:00 BST.

After that incident, the Boeing aircraft should resume flight operations today on flight BA2159 to Vieux Fort.
