A British Airways flight from Washington, D.C. to London made an emergency landing in Boston after a suspected bird strike led to smoke in the cabin. Flight 216, a Boeing 777, departed Dulles International Airport on 26 April but diverted to Boston Logan International Airport two hours later. The FAA said the crew reported a possible bird strike and cabin fumes. British Airways confirmed the diversion was a precaution, and engineers are now inspecting the plane. The Massachusetts Port Authority also verified the bird strike, noting the jet landed safely without incident.
