Airnorth is proud to support the Future Female Leaders Program, an inspiring initiative designed to empower young women to become confident, capable leaders. Delivered at no cost to participants, the program provides a fully funded scholarship for 20 outstanding young women each year, thanks to the backing of forward-thinking industry partners. Participants attend in-person and virtual events, connect with mentors, and build leadership skills that will shape their futures.

In 2025, Airnorth covered the air travel expenses between Kununurra and Perth for one remarkable young woman from the Kimberley and her guardian — ensuring she could access the same opportunities as her metro-based peers. This support enabled the program to fully fund her place, covering the flights required to engage with the program’s events and community.

Future Female Leaders General Manager, Ali O’Connor, said: “For young women in remote regions, access to opportunities like this is often limited – not due to a lack of potential, but due to geography. By bridging that distance, Airnorth is helping to level the playing field and ensure that regional voices are represented and empowered. Real-world connection with peers, facilitators and mentors is a vital part of our Signature Program, and this support means our participant can fully engage, grow, and lead with confidence.”

As an equal opportunity employer, Airnorth is committed to uplifting the regions we serve and creating more inclusive futures. We’re proud to play a role in helping the next generation of female leaders take flight — no matter where they’re from.

As an equal opportunity employer, Airnorth is committed to supporting regional communities and helping the next generation of female leaders thrive — no matter where they live.
