Turkish Airlines Confirms New Aircraft Orders from Boeing

On 26 September 2025, Turkish Airlines and Boeing announced orders for new aircraft. The deal is for additional MAXs, as well as more Dreamliners.

The airline placed firm orders for 35 B787-9s and fifteen B787-10s. It also took options on another 25 B787s. Next to this firm order, Turkish Airlines also signed a Letter of Intent to order up to 150 additional B737MAXs. The firming of that order is dependent on the outcome of negotiations with the engine vendors.

Turkish Airlines is running an extensive expansion plan, that envisions the airline to have around 800 in the fleet by 2033. Today, the airline has a fleet of 389 aircraft that breaks-down into six Airbus A319s, 21 A320s, 67 A321s, 58 A321neos, ten A330-200Fs, twelve A330-200s, 37 A330-300s, 30 A350-900s, 40 B737-800s, fifteen B737-900ERs, 20 B737-8s, five B737-9s, eight B777Fs, 36 B777-300ERs, and 24 B787-9s.

Before announcing this order, Turkish Airlines had open orders with Boeing for four B777Fs and six B787-9s. With Airbus, the airline has open orders for 190 A321neos, 60 A350-900s, and fifteen A350-1000s.
