Air France has resumed operations at London Gatwick Airport for the first time since 1996, launching a twice-daily service to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
The route is operated using the modern Airbus A220, offering passengers flexible departure times and improved access to both Paris and Air France’s extensive global network. From Charles de Gaulle, travellers can connect onward to destinations across the United States, Africa, Asia and South America.
The new service reflects strong and growing demand for both short city breaks and long-haul travel, with early booking trends highlighting interest in warm-weather destinations, major global cities and long-haul “bucket list” trips.
The route also enhances inbound tourism, enabling international visitors to reach central London in around 30 minutes from Gatwick.
Air France’s return is part of a broader expansion at Gatwick, which is welcoming nine new airlines in 2026, underscoring the airport’s accelerating growth and appeal to major international carriers.
