Royal Jordanian is set to launch nonstop service from DFW International Airport to Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan’s capital of Amman.

Starting May 2026, the airline will fly year-round, four times per week from DFW to Amman on a 270-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, the airport said. DFW Airport does not currently offer nonstop routes to Amman, according to FlightConnections.com.

DFW Airport will mark the fifth U.S. destination for Royal Jordanian. The carrier currently flies to Chicago, Detroit, near Washington, D.C., and New York City, according to FlightConnections.com. The airline, a member of the American Airlines-led Oneworld alliance, flies to 45 destinations across 29 countries/territories.

DFW Airport officials hailed the new routes as a way to connect its network with one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The service could open new connections throughout the eastern Mediterranean region, as well as through Royal Jordanian’s regional network.

“Welcoming Royal Jordanian to DFW is another exciting step in growing our global network,” Chris McLaughlin, DFW’s CEO, said in a statement. “This new nonstop connection to Amman is a first for North Texas and will expand our reach into the Middle East and further grow DFW’s role as a key international gateway.”

Royal Jordanian, established in 1963, operates 25 aircraft consisting of Airbus, Boeing 787’s, Embraer’s and a cargo freighter, according to the company’s website. The airline’s CEO, Samer Majali, said last year that he expects the carrier to operate 41 aircraft by 2028, the Jordan Times reported.
